SAVE ENERGY IN HOUSEHOLDS

The boiler uses aprox 15% of the household electricity.

To use it in the most efficient manner set it heat the water between 50 and 55 C°.

He is a member of the category of home appliances that need cleaning and maintenance. Clean his heater from boiler scale.

We all agree there nothing as a bath in a full tub of hot water. But if done daily your health would suffer and so would your electricity bill. Taking a shower is much healthier and saves hot water.

Switch the boiler off if leaving the apartment longer than one day.
Replace tap rubber gaskets to prevent dripping.

You have a pressure cooker? Use it!

When purchasing pots and pans chose the ones with thick and flat bottoms. They'll be worth your while.

Be worthy. Clean both saucepan bottom and hotplate.

The saucepan you use should be the same or larger than the hotplate you use. Never smaller.

Don't forget to put the lid on the saucepan! F.Y.I. If every housewife used a lid when boiling water for coffee, Kolubara (Serbia's largest power station) would save 55.000 tons of coal annually!!!

Why turn on the hotplate before we put something on it? First the saucepan and then turn the hotplate on.

When warming something up turn the switch on the highest level.

Water and fluid dishes cannot be warmer than 100 C°, which's their maximum. So as soon as the dish boils reduce the temperature.

Turn the hotplate off 2-3 minutes before you finish cooking.
Turn the oven off 5-10 minutes before you finish baking.

Each time you open the oven door you reduce the oven temperature by 15 C°.

Use Compact Fluorescent Light(CFL) bulbs at least in the living room. They use 4 times less electricity and last 10 times longer than regular bulbs. You must fit them if not everywhere at least in the living room. That's quite convenient for showing off, especially when the neighbors visit. Let them see who's trendy!

During the winter months H.A. heater used rationally spends 60% of the households electricity.

Most heaters have three levels of power. Does it have to be on maximum?

Don't let heat escape the room! When it's cold keep the windows shut as long as possible.

Don't leave heaters on if you won't be in the room for a longer period. That's wasting energy and risking fire!

Before going to sleep reduce the temperature on the thermostat. It's healthier, and you save energy.

If intending to leave the room for longer than 3 hours reduce the temperature on the thermostat.

Accumulate your H.A. heater only at night.

In your "work" room where motion is necessary 18 C°
In the office 20 C°
Living room, 21 C°
Bedroom (at night) 18 C°

The same for your dishwasher! But careful don't bleach your china!

Your TV`s constantly on, anybody watching? Turn it off when you're not watching!
