DELFT/NETHERLANDS, 23-24 MARCH 2006: 11TH ENERGIE-CITÉS
ANNUAL CONFERENCE |
 |
|
Author: L.Bratic |
|
 |
 |
|
How to build “sustainable energy
communities” within municipalities, and how to set up
“local intelligent energy forums” for more effective
co-operation, these are some of the questions raised at
the Energie-Cité Annual Conference. The upward trend in
energy prices and climatic catastrophies are there to
remind us that our current development model is not
sustainable.
This sets a bold challenge that calls upon
all citizens, businesses, community organisations and
public authorities to be creative and innovative. Each
of these players has a role to play, regardless of their
position in thecity.
How can we build “sustainable energy communities” within
our municipalities? How can we set up “local intelligent
energy forums” so we can work together more effectively?
How can we make local initiatives more visible whilst
encouraging their replication at local level?
You have your own experience? You want to benefit from
the experience of others? You are developing projects?
We welcome you to this conference to join in the debate!

Delegation of CEEF and
Narodno Grijanje
Company Sarajevo will participate at the Workshop titled
"Removing Barriers to Residential Energy Efficiency", on
February 6-7 in Kiev, Ukraine. The Workshop is funded by
the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP),
and the United States Agency for International
Development (USAID), that is part of a project the
Alliance to Save Energy is doing to increase awareness
of the importance of energy-efficiency in countering
rising energy and water prices and to facilitate the
exchange of best practices and lessons-learned in
residential energy efficiency throughout Central and
Eastern Europe. The goal of the
workshop is to build institutional capacity by
increasing awareness of the local and national
governments of Central and Eastern Europe about how to
better formulate and enable policies that promote the
development and implementation of residential energy
efficiency projects, especially for multifamily
buildings where there is a high concentration of
vulnerable households.
Narodno Grijanje and CEEF will present B&H Energy
Efficiency Experience in Residential Sector and projects
that Narodno Grijanje implemented in B&H in this sector
in the last two years. The presentation aims to reflect
upon:
·
Projects implemented by Narodno Grijanje in the residential
sector in B&H
·
Cost savings achieved through implemented projects/Financial
gain to households
·
Potential for project replication and cost savings in the
future
